Edinburgh

Today was the big trip to Edinburgh. Unfortunately, no kilt on this trip, but our Scotish friend recommended I check out a place in Glasgow instead...so that'll be tomorrow, and I'll be sure to post pics of that.

There is an amazing castle there, but Jeff didn't recommend spending the 13 pounds to get in ($26) so we just walked around town. It was still amazing. Since it's late here, I'm just going to post some pictures with some comments, but nothing too in-depth.

Here is the castle, which we just saw from a distance. Notice the snow that fell off and on the whole time we were there:

This is what you see right when you step off the train. It's like stepping into another world:

Just a pic down the street as we're walking in the heavy snow:

The town center, I think (with heavy snow, again):

We spent about 2 hours in a Christian book shop that Jeff knew of. This gentleman named George came in and I struck up a conversation with him. Turns out he was a street preacher like us who had been at it for around 40 years. He prayed for us and we got to pray for him. Good stuff:

Group shot. That's Gordan in the middle from Jeff's church who preaches on the street with us:

There were lots of tourist shops down there, so we were trying on hats. That's Jimmy on the right...another member of Jeff's church who comes out on the street with us:

Book shop again:

This was at a restaurant near the end of the day. This was right after I tried Haggis for my first time...and it was really really good:

That's it for this trip. It was a blast and definitely a great place to visit. Keep us in your prayers tomorrow as I get to lead the prayer meeting at church while Matt and the gang are out on the street.
